Why have my Payfast agreement terms and conditions been updated? 

We have updated your agreement terms and conditions and is replaced with the General Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) available at https://payfast.io/. The T&Cs have been updated to ensure that we continue to deliver the best solutions and services to you as our valued merchant partners. The updated T&Cs include terms to provide more transparency on how we collect, share, use and protect your data, flexibility in availing our new products and services as well as aligning our terms with the latest card scheme rules, applicable laws, and regulations.


Will these changes affect my current use of Payfast's Services or the fees I pay?

No, these changes to T&Cs do not impact your current use of our products and services or the current fees, including transaction processing/merchant service fees (MSF).


When will the updated General Terms and Conditions take effect?

The updated General Terms and Conditions will take effect from and including 15 May 2024.


Is there anything else I need to do to accept and agree to these T&Cs?

Your continued use of our products and services after the effective date of 15 May 2024 will confirm your acceptance and agreement to the updated General Terms and Conditions.
