Setting up your POS device

Setting up your POS device

Once your delivery arrives, the status of your device on the merchant dashboard will update from “In Transit” to “Delivered.” At this point, the “Activate Device” button will be enabled. Follow these steps to set up your POS device:

  1. Unbox and Power on the Device

·      Remove the device from its packaging and refer to the Z-fold Network POS Device Manual for instructions on how to switch it on.

·      Your device will be charged fully and there will be two SIM cards already set up on your POS device for connectivity.

o   If your device battery is low, you won’t be able to use the POS device and you will need to charge the device first before use.

  1. Enter the OTP

·      Once powered on, the device will prompt you to enter a One-Time PIN (OTP).

·      To retrieve the OTP, log in to your Merchant Dashboard and navigate to the In-Person Payments tab.

·      Select the device you wish to activate (use the serial number to identify the correct device if you ordered more than one).

·      Tap the “Activate Device” button, which will open the activation screen.

·      Enter the device’s serial number, then click Next to display the 5-digit OTP.

·      Enter this OTP on the POS device to continue the setup process.

  1. Loading the POS Software

·      After entering the OTP, the device will automatically begin loading the POS software.

·      Once the software has fully loaded, you will see the POS app landing screen.

  1. Confirm Device Activation

·      Refresh your Merchant Dashboard, and you’ll see the device status updated to “Active.”

·      The “Activate Device” button will be replaced by a “Get Support” button, confirming that your device is ready for use.
