Manage device setting explained

Manage device setting explained

The Settings tab on your POS device allows you to configure various features, view device hardware information, Merchant information as well as switch users.

Manage Device

The Manage Device settings let you configure the following functionalities: Products, Tips, Cash Payments, and Prepaid Services. Each feature has a toggle switch, which enables or disables it on the device:

  • Blue toggle = feature is enabled.
  • Grey toggle = feature is disabled.

Products:

Enabling the Products setting will display a blue toggle next to the option, and the “Catalogue” tile will appear on your POS device’s landing screen. This allows you to select and sell products from your catalogue, which you can set up by following the steps in the “Setting Up Your Catalogue” section. Disabling this feature (grey toggle) will remove the Catalogue tile from the landing screen.

Tips

When Tips are enabled, an extra step is added during checkout for both Quick Sales and sales through the Catalogue. During this step, customers can:

  • Add a tip using a preset percentage,
  • Enter a custom tip amount,
  • Or skip adding a tip.

If Tips are disabled, the checkout process will skip this step and take you directly to the payment screen without the option to add a tip.

Cash payments

Enabling Cash Payments adds an extra option at checkout for both Quick Sales and Catalogue sales, allowing you to choose whether the customer will pay by cash or card. If cash is selected, the payment step will be skipped, and you’ll be directed to the sale approval screen where a receipt can be generated.

When this feature is disabled, all transactions will require the standard payment step, and there will be no option to select between cash or card.

Prepaid

When Prepaid is enabled, a Prepaid tile will appear on your POS device’s landing screen. This allows you, as the merchant, to sell airtime, data, and vouchers to your customers. If disabled, the Prepaid tile will not be visible on the device.
