Logging In to the Merchant Access Portal (MAP)
The Merchant Access Portal (MAP) is a secure, web-based platform that enables merchants to manage their Payfast accounts efficiently. Access to MAP is password-protected and is provided free of charge to all Payfast merchants. To log in, please visit: https://map.paygate.co.za/login.php.
Logging In
To access MAP, you will need the following:
- Username
- Password
- Company Name
These details are provided in the welcome email sent by our onboarding team. If this is your first time logging in with the credentials provided, you will be prompted to change the temporary password to one of your choosing. Once updated, use your new password for future logins.
Password Management
For optimal security when creating your password, we recommend the following:
- Avoid using dictionary words or proper nouns.
- Do not include personal information.
- Ensure the password is 8-20 characters long.
- Include both letters and numbers.
- Use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters.
Your password is private and should not be shared with anyone. Payfast will never request your Merchant Access Portal password. If you receive any communication asking for your password, please consider it a potential phishing attempt.
Additionally, we recommend changing your password every 90 days to enhance security.
