How to Stop a Transaction from Being Settled
Note: This action must be completed before 18:15 on the day of the transaction.
- Log in to MAP.
- Navigate to the Settlements option under the Transactions menu.
- On the next screen, adjust the Start Date to today’s date and click Submit.
- A list of all settlement transactions due to be sent to the bank later today will appear. These transactions will have a ticked box under the Settle column.
- To stop a settlement, click the Settle checkbox next to the transaction you wish to stop. The tick should disappear, indicating the transaction is no longer flagged for settlement. Click the Continue button at the bottom of the list.
- A confirmation screen will appear, showing no transactions under “new settlements to process” and listing the transaction(s) you deselected under “settlements to stop.” If the details are correct, click the Confirm button.
- A summary screen will display the message that the selected transaction(s) have been stopped.
- To verify, repeat steps 1 to 3; the settlement you stopped should now appear without a tick in the Settle column.
