How to Reset Your Password if You've Forgotten It

If you've forgotten your password, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the 'Forgot your password' link on the login page.
  2. Enter your Username and Company Name.
  3. A temporary password will be sent to your registered email address.

Password Management

For optimal security when creating your password, we recommend the following:

  • Avoid using dictionary words or proper nouns.
  • Do not include personal information.
  • Ensure the password is 8-20 characters long.
  • Include both letters and numbers.
  • Use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters.

Your password is private and should not be shared with anyone. Payfast will never request your Merchant Access Portal password. If you receive any communication asking for your password, please consider it a potential phishing attempt.

Additionally, we recommend changing your password every 90 days to enhance security.
