How to enable prepaid sales

Prepaid services are one of our value-added offerings, allowing you to expand your business by selling airtime, data, and product vouchers to your customers.

When you first activate your POS device, prepaid sales are disabled by default. To enable them, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your merchant dashboard.
  2. Tap on the "In-Person Payments" tab in the top navigation menu.
  3. On the In-Person Payments landing page, select "Prepaid" from the side navigation menu, then tap "Manage."
  4. On the Manage Prepaid page, you’ll see a toggle at the top. Switch it on to enable prepaid sales.

Once prepaid sales are enabled on the dashboard:

  • All three Value-Added Services (VAS) products (airtime, data, and betting vouchers) will also be enabled on your dashboard.
  • You’ll now see the prepaid toggle under "Manage Device" on your POS device, but it will still be toggled off.

To display the prepaid tile on the POS device’s landing screen and begin selling prepaid products:

  • Go to Settings > Manage Device on your POS device.
  • Toggle on the Prepaid option.

You can also control which products (airtime, data, or betting vouchers) you want to sell. If there’s a product you don't want to offer, you can disable it on your merchant dashboard, and it will no longer appear when initiating a prepaid sale on the POS device.
