How to Conduct a Sale Using the Catalogue

How to Conduct a Sale Using the Catalogue

1.    Access Catalogue: Tap on the catalogue tile (ensure this feature is enabled in “Manage Device” settings). This will take you to the Make a Sale screen.

2.    Browse Products:

·      By default, the “All” category will be displayed, listing all products in your catalogue.

·      You can also navigate through different categories by tapping on them to filter the product list.

·      Use the search bar to quickly find a product by name.

3.    Select a Product:

·      To select a product, tap the blue “+” button next to it. The button will change to a red minus “-” sign, which can be used to decrease (or remove) the item quantity if needed.

·      Once selected, the added product quantity will appear in product colour category square tile on the left-hand side, displaying the quantity added.

·      To increase the quantity of the product, tap on the product colour category square tile showing the current quantity.

4.    Review Basket:

·      At the bottom of the screen, you will see the Checkout button, showing the total items and the total price (e.g., “1 item R50”).

·      Next to this button is a Calculator icon for quick sales where you can add a custom amount.

5.    Checkout: Once your products are selected, tap the Checkout button to proceed. This will navigate you to the Cart Page, where you can:

·      Clear the Cart: Tap the red dustbin icon to remove all items or tap the three dots next to a specific product to delete it.

·      Apply Discounts:

o   Apply a discount to the total cart by tapping “Apply Order Discount” at the bottom of the screen, selecting either a percentage or custom amount.

o   Alternatively, apply a discount to an individual product by tapping the three dots next to the product and selecting “Apply Discount.”

6.    Choose Payment Method:

·      Cash Payment: If cash payments are enabled in settings, select Cash, and proceed to the Tips screen (if tips are enabled). Once the tip is added (or not added), you can complete the sale and accept the cash.

·      Card Payment: Select Card to proceed to the Tip Screen, where you can either choose a tip or opt for no tip. Once you're ready, tap Charge to initiate the card payment. The customer can then either insert or tap their card or device to complete the transaction.

o   Note: Our POS device allows customers to tap their card either at the top of the device screen or on the back of the device for payment.

7.    Receipt: Once the payment is successful, you can either print a receipt (if your device supports it) or email a digital receipt to the customer.
