How to Access and Use the Bank Reconciliation Section

The Bank Reconciliation section allows you to view Settlement and/or Refund batches that have been processed to your merchant account. You can click on View Detail for each batch to see the detailed transactions within that batch. Additionally, a printer-friendly version is available for convenience by clicking on the printer-friendly version link.

 

Steps to Access the Bank Reconciliation Section:

  1. Login to MAP: Begin by logging into your Merchant Access Portal (MAP).
  2. Navigate to the Bank Reconciliation Section:
    • Click on Reporting from the side navigation bar.
    • Under Reporting, select Bank Recon. This will take you to the Bank Reconciliation landing page.
  3. Search for Transactions:
    • On the landing page, use the search bar to filter transactions by Transaction Type. You can choose between Settlements, Refunds, or both.
    • Specify the Start Date and End Date for your search.
    • Click the Search button to proceed.
  4. View and Print the Results:
    • After searching, you will see a table displaying the following information:
      1. Batch Number: The batch identifier paid to your merchant account.
      2. Type: Indicates whether the batch is a refund or a settlement.
      3. Date: The date the batch was processed to your account.
      4. Transaction Count: Total number of transactions in the batch.
      5. Batch Total: Sum of all the transactions in the batch.
      6. Currency: The currency of the batch total.
      7. Comments: Any additional notes or remarks.
      8. View Details: A hyperlink that opens the Bank Reconciliation Batch Details page for that specific batch.
    • For a printer-friendly version of the table, click on the Printer Friendly button. This allows you to print or generate a PDF of the table.
  5. View Batch Details:
    • Click on View Details next to a specific batch to see the detailed list of transactions within that batch. The details page includes:
      • Batch Number: Same for all transactions in the selected batch.
      • Reference: The transaction reference.
      • Card Number: The card used for the transaction.
      • Cardholder Name: Name of the cardholder.
      • Amount: The transaction amount.
      • Type: Indicates whether it’s a settlement or refund.
      • Date Processed: Date when the transaction was settled or refunded.
      • Details: A link to view more information about each transaction.
      • Comments: Displays notes, such as those provided during a refund.
    • At the bottom of this table, you can click the Printer Friendly button to generate a PDF or print a summary of the details.
