Dashboard Overview: Managing Transactions and Activity Insights in the Merchant Access Portal (MAP)

MAP Dashboard

The Dashboard gives an overview of your transaction activity and can be customized to display data for Today, 1 Week, or 1 Month. After logging in, you will land on the Dashboard—your home page in MAP. To return here at any time, click the “Online Payments” tab in the top navigation bar.

Key Dashboard features include:

1. Transaction Overview Filter:

  • Today: Displays the transactions for the current day.
  • 1 Week: Shows a 7-day summary.
  • 1 Month: Provides a 30-day summary.

2. Total Transactions:

  • Shows a total count of successful and declined transactions (pending transactions are excluded).
  • Formula: Total Transactions = Successful Transactions + Declined Transactions.
  • Updates based on your filter selection.

3. Successful Transactions:

  • Displays the total number of successful transaction attempts.
  • Definition: A transaction with an approved status, indicating successful authorization and clearance.

4. Declined Transactions:

  • Shows the total number of unsuccessful transactions, including authorization reversals.
  • Definition: A transaction with failed authentication or that didn’t clear successfully.

5. Transaction Table:

The table lists transaction details based on your selected time filter, including:

  • Date: Time and date of the transaction.
  • Client: Name of the client at checkout.
  • Amount: Total amount paid.
  • Status: Can be one of the following:
    • Approved: Successfully authorized and cleared.
    • Completed: Authorized, cleared, and settled.
    • Pending: Awaiting authorization.
    • Declined: Authorization failed.
    • Auth Reversal: Reversed before authorization.
  • Payment Method: Displays the payment method used, which could be any of the below based on payment method you opted in for:
    • Card Payments, Instant EFT, QR Code Payments, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Capitec Pay, SiD Secure EFT, Debit Cards, Mobicred, Mukuru Pay, SnapScan, PayPal, MTN MoMoPay, Scan To Pay (Ukheshe), SCode, Store Cards (RCS), Visa Checkout, MoreTyme, Zapper.

You can click on any transaction in the table for more details. This pop-up will display:

  • Transaction status, customer information, order items, and 3DS (3D Secure) data.
  • Options to block the customer’s card or email. Once blocked, these cannot be unblocked.
  • Option to print the transaction details.

6. Graphical View:

The dashboard also includes graphical representations of your transaction activity. You can switch between:

  • Pie chart
  • Bar chart
  • Doughnut chart
