The about feature displays all the merchant and device information such as:
· Ref: This refers to a unique reference number or code assigned to your merchant profile. It may be used to track merchant activity or identify your account in the backend for support or reporting purposes.
· Name: The merchant name is the business name you've registered with the POS system. This is used across various areas such as receipts, invoices, and when accessing your merchant account on the POS system or merchant dashboard.
· PMID: Stands for "Payment Merchant ID." If the status is False, it means no specific Payment Merchant ID has been assigned to the merchant. If it’s true it will be used for routing payments and identifying the business in payment networks.
· PC: PC stands for Product Catalogue and if its true means you have toggled on the Products setting under manage device, which enables the ability to list and sell items directly from a pre-configured product catalogue within the POS device. If its false it means that you have disabled this setting.
· VAS: Stands for Value-Added Services. If this is True, it means you have enabled additional services on your POS device, such as toggling on the prepaid services (selling airtime, data, etc.) on the manage device setting and if its false, it means prepaid has be disabled.
· RTID: Retail Terminal ID – This is a unique identifier assigned to the POS device itself. It helps track and manage each device associated with the merchant account, especially when multiple devices are in use.
· RMID: Retail Merchant ID – This is a unique identifier for you as the merchant and it links your business to the to us your payment provider to ensure payments processed on the POS device are attributed to the correct merchant.
· NG Version: Next Generation Version – This refers to the software version running on the POS device. It indicates which version of the POS operating system is installed.
· NGV Code: Next Generation Version Code – This is a specific code tied to the version of the software. It helps our support teams identify and troubleshoot device-specific issues related to the installed software version.
· Connectivity: This shows how the POS device is currently connected to the network (e.g., Wi-Fi, cellular data, or Ethernet). Which is something that you had set up when you first set up the device. It indicates your device’s ability to communicate with us.
· RTT: Round-Trip Time – This refers to the time it takes for data to travel from the POS device to the server and back again. It's a measure of network performance, with lower RTT indicating better connection speed and responsiveness for transactions.
